Kyril Talanov is counsel with Ramey LLP, where his practice focuses on IP litigation, including patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyright.
Kyril brings over 10 years of experience in IP and commercial litigation at firms such as AZA, Winston & Strawn, and Howrey, where he has been intimately involved in all aspects of case management, from pre-suit investigations and due diligence to early case development and discovery, pre-trial, and jury and bench trials. Kyril has handled matters involving technologies such as oilfield drilling and completion tools; automotive technology and smart sensors; medical devices; consumer electronics; microchips and processors; telecommunications products; computer networks, digital signal processing and wireless codecs; and enterprise software.
Kyril holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Texas Tech University and is a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center. Prior to attending law school, Kyril had a career in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries in various process engineering and design roles with ExxonMobil and Black & Veatch. While in law school, Kyril clerked at an IP prosecution boutique and interned at the First Court of Appeals of Texas. He has been recognized in the third edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ for his high caliber work in Intellectual Property Law and Litigation - Intellectual Property.
Outside of law practice, Kyril enjoys travel, the outdoors and is a scuba diving instructor. Kyril is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian languages
