Proposed USPTO Patent Fee Adjustments

Posted by Unknown | Sep 30, 2016 | 0 Comments

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is proposing to set or adjust certain patent fees. The USPTO typically reviews fee levels on at least a biennial basis.

The fee adjustment proposals include increases on fees for large entity utility filing, searches, and examinations. Small and micro entity discounts remain available. Design patents do not pay maintenance fees, and the majority of design applicants are eligible for small and micro entity fee reductions.

The USPTO is seeking comments on the patent fee proposals. Comments should be sent by email to: [email protected].

Learn more about our Experience and Services.

Our attorneys have worked at the large downtown law firms, and gained the valued skills and tactics available at the mega firms. We chose to use that experience to open a boutique firm where we could offer our clients personalized legal representation. We chose to locate our office in a suburban environment to keep our rates reasonable. We are mindful of our clients’ bottom lines and financial constraints and work diligently to keep their legal costs within their budgets.
