The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is co-sponsoring an event to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the America Invents Act (AIA) on September 21, 2016, from 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. (EST) in the Rayburn House Office Building, in Washington, D.C. The event will feature remarks from USPTO leadership and Congressional representatives on the AIA's impact to the U.S. intellectual property system.

The event will also include a panel discussion with leaders from the IP community discussing the impact of the AIA on businesses and communities of all sizes and next steps for the U.S. IP system.
