The complaint, submitted to the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division, asserts that OmniCell unlawfully utilized Datrec's patented technology, which is protected under  U.S. Patent Nos.8,381,309.

At the heart of the lawsuit is a significant technological innovation — a Method and System for Secure Communication Over a Public Network. This patented system addresses one of the most critical issues in today's digital landscape: how to ensure secure and efficient communication over public networks, such as the internet.
