We are pleased to announce that our client, Credo Technology Group Limited, has been granted US Patent 11,881,827 for their innovative "TRAVELING-WAVE TRANS-IMPEDANCE AMPLIFIER." This achievement represents a significant advancement in amplifier technology and highlights Credo's commitment to pushing the boundaries of electronic design.
Technical Innovation: The Traveling-Wave Trans-Impedance Amplifier (TIA)
TIAs offer current-to-voltage conversion, an important requirement for preserving linear responses in fiberoptic signal receivers. As data communication bandwidths continue increasing, it becomes necessary to prevent the inherent gate capacitance of MOS transistors from limiting receiver performance. The patented design overcomes this limitation using a distributed amplifier design with a feedback path that assures the desired linear response over an extended frequency range. The new design enables the creation of higher bandwidth communication cables and systems to support the evolving needs of high performance computing centers.
