Ramey LLP has filed a patent infringement lawsuit on behalf of its client, Random Chat LLC, against LG Electronics, Inc. and LG Electronics U.S.A., Inc. The case was filed on August 18, 2025, in the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division.
The lawsuit involves U.S. Patent No. 8,402,099, which covers a “Method For Carrying Out A Multimedia Communication Based On A Network Protocol Particularly TCP/IP And/Or UDP.” This patented technology relates to methods that enable efficient multimedia communication over widely used internet protocols, supporting advanced digital connectivity and communication.
In its Original Complaint and demand for jury trial, Random Chat LLC seeks relief for LG Electronics' infringement of this patent. By taking this legal action, Ramey LLP continues its mission to safeguard its clients' intellectual property rights and ensure that innovators receive proper recognition and protection for their technologies.
