Ramey LLP has announced that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit on behalf of its client, WIRELESSWERX IP, LLC, against TAIL LIGHT, LLC, doing business as BOUNCIE. The legal action is in regards to infringement of U.S. Patent No. 7,323,982, which covers "Method and System to Control Movable Entities."
The lawsuit was filed on April 25, 2025, in the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division. As part of the original complaint, WIRELESSWERX IP, LLC has requested a jury trial.
This legal action aims to address the unauthorized use of WIRELESSWERX IP's patented technology by TAIL LIGHT and seeks appropriate relief for any infringement. The patent in question relates to systems for controlling movable entities, which has significant applications in vehicle tracking and control systems like those offered by BOUNCIE.
"As connected vehicle technology continues to evolve with increased monitoring and automation capabilities, patents covering control systems for vehicles have become increasingly valuable intellectual property," noted an industry observer familiar with similar cases.
